What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?

Matthew 16:26

How much does the world cost? If you could take it, what amount of resources would you need to be successful? Many men and empires have tried to “gain the world.” Not even a priceless soul is enough collateral to get the world out of hock.

So what is it you are dedicating your soul to? What could be worth risking your soul for? Only the peace of Jesus and the promise of heaven! So we may not gain the whole world, but we gain a better one.
