Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!

“For who has known the mind of the Lord,
    or who has been his counselor?”
“Or who has given a gift to him
    that he might be repaid?”

Romans 1:33-36

Today, even in the remotest places, all the information in the world is searchable. Unfortunately, so is all the misinformation. But God is not like that. He has presented for us the knowledge that we can handle and some hints and what we can’t.

So what do we know of the mind of God? Just enough, just what he has told us. That’s the very definition of faith; not to speculate on what God may allow but to eagerly cling to what he commands, requests and condones.

Want to know the mind of God? His thoughts may be unsearchable, but his Holy Scripture has never been more available.
