Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

The hardest work is rarely the work that requires the most effort. What really makes work a struggle is going unappreciated and uncompensated for the effort you put in. If no one ever says thank you, no one ever gives you praise, no one ever even pays you for your efforts, you might be ready to give up. God is not that kind of boss. Working for God is always worthwhile and will earn us a “well done, good and faithful servant” and much more.
