We all as believers understand the longing to experience grace; I owe so much, and yet it is paid back in full by God. We know what it’s like to be in the red and have debt wiped out!
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
Isaiah 30:18
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him!
God’s example for us to imitate is a longing to extend grace, one which we should take to heart. We know that we are to forgive, but God models a sincerity and eagerness to forgive that is Spiritual in nature. The Lord is a God of justice, not just because he punishes the bad guys but because he longs to extend grace to the undeserving.
