Torn

I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.

Philippians 1:23-24

When the world pulls us down with grief, responsibility and worry we must not be discouraged or find ourselves to be lacking, weak in some way. The Creator and sustainer of all life will provide fully and abundantly for all our needs, especially in the Spirit, because he is Spirit, but also in this life because this world is His. What is necessary is not always what we would choose, but if it is what God wants for us, how can we not draw from his power and do what he would have us to do?
