Then this one with human appearance touched me again and strengthened me. He said, “O man of high esteem, do not be afraid. Peace be with you; take courage and be courageous!” Now as soon as he spoke to me, I received strength and said, “May my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”

Daniel 10:18-19

Daniel the prophet was in a predicament. God had just given him another vision. He was terrified by it. The men who were with him, unable to see it, were nevertheless frightened by its presence. What power there was in this prophecy!

The same power that awed him was the power that lifted him up. Daniel received comfort from God, even as His presence was so awesome that it affected him physically.

The presence of God is among us. He dwells with us, as His Church, in Spirit. There is nothing to fear for us from His Message or His Presence because He is the one who empowers us to carry those things with us. Let us humbly take on that role and accept His help to do those things in front of us.
