This is what the Lord says:

“Stand at the crossroads and look;

ask for the ancient paths,

ask where the good way is, and walk in it,

and you will find rest for your souls.

But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’”

Jeremiah 6:16

We face a choice to follow God. It is clear; what is a road and what is not is obvious. The berm is not the road, the places beyond are not to be glanced at. The road is ahead of us. We must decide which paths to take.

The highway of the upright avoids evil;

    those who guard their ways preserve their lives.

Proverbs 16:17

Take the highway the Lord has set down before us. We already know where it leads.
