Praise the Lord.
Psalm 147:1-7
How good it is to sing praises to our God,
how pleasant and fitting to praise him!
The Lord builds up Jerusalem;
he gathers the exiles of Israel.
He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
He determines the number of the stars
and calls them each by name.
Great is our Lord and mighty in power;
his understanding has no limit.
The Lord sustains the humble
but casts the wicked to the ground.
Sing to the Lord with grateful praise;
make music to our God on the harp.
God, the great healer, knows your hurt and wants to restore you. He is not limited in his ability to do so nor his ability to know about you. He wants to lift up the humble.
More than that, God in the form of Jesus experienced all the pain and heartache of being a person living on earth. Betrayal, shame, hate and apathy were all directed at him while he was among his own people. He can sympathize with all our struggles.
Ask God for help. See what he does.
