Let Go

then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Take the staff; and you and your brother Aaron assemble the congregation and speak to the rock before their eyes, that it shall yield its water. So you shall bring water for them out of the rock, and have the congregation and their livestock drink.” So Moses took the staff from before the Lord, just as He had commanded him; and Moses and Aaron summoned the assembly in front of the rock. And he said to them, “Listen now, you rebels; shall we bring water for you out of this rock?” Then Moses raised his hand and struck the rock twice with his staff; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their livestock drank. But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Since you did not trust in Me, to treat Me as holy in the sight of the sons of Israel, for that reason you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.” Those were called the waters of Meribah, because the sons of Israel argued with the Lord, and He proved Himself holy among them.

Numbers 20:7-13

Then He *poured water into the basin, and began washing the disciples’ feet and wiping them with the towel which He had tied around Himself. So He *came to Simon Peter. He *said to Him, “Lord, You are washing my feet?” Jesus answered and said to him, “What I am doing, you do not realize right now, but you will understand later.” Peter *said to Him, “Never shall You wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no place with Me.” Simon Peter *said to Him, “Lord, then wash not only my feet, but also my hands and my head!” Jesus *said to him, “He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet; otherwise he is completely clean. And you are clean—but not all of you.” For He knew the one who was betraying Him; it was for this reason that He said, “Not all of you are clean.”

John 13:5-11

Trust the Lord. Whether he asks you to do the work or asks you to let Him do the work, seek His will in all things. Don’t try to outdo God, because in even the most simple of His actions he is working profoundly and overwhelmingly to your good!

  1. When I first saw this title I mistakenly read it, “Let’s Go!” But it works either way!
