A gentle answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Proverbs 15:1

If anger was something static that settled on a person, a solid thing, it would be easy. But the Bible depicts it as something moving, changing, dynamic, like fire. If you stoke it, it burns. If you keep away fuel, it is put out.

So what do we do with anger? Stir it up, or watch it pass like a candle in the wind?
