Do everything in love.

1 Corinthians 16:14 (NIV)

It’s hard to hurt someone on purpose if you love them; in fact, if you practice love, you will go out of your way not to hurt someone.

It’s hard to think badly of someone if you love them; if you truly love someone, you’ll make excuses for them and cover over little mistakes.

It’s hard to lie to someone if you love them; those we truly love, we tell the most honest feelings of our hearts, in the kindest way possible.

It’s hard to ignore someone’s troubles if you love them; we check on those we care for more often than our own problems sometimes.

Do everything in love, and you’ll be well on your way to following Jesus’ example.
