Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:12

So much advice in this life comes from people who have convinced themselves that they are stronger than they are. What do I mean? It’s very common to hear about the greatness of individuals who have made money, gained power or changed the way we understand the world. The reality behind these histories is more nuanced, and therefore, less exciting. The people who make a big impact always do so because they were propelled forward by the momentum of the people around them.

There are no strong individuals, only strong communities. So take that human perspective and turn it heavenward; who has more power to move forward, achieve, be fulfilled than the people whom God has chosen? Who will be stronger than the people God binds together?
