Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a person sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will reap destruction from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit. Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let’s do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.

Galatians 6:7-10

“Why should I keep doing good things for bad people? People who hate me or maybe worse, disregard my good work don’t deserve my kindness or respect. It’s not easy doing good all the time.”

You don’t get to pick the season. When it’s time to plow the field, you have to turn the soil. When it’s time to plant, you need to get those seeds or seedlings in the ground so they have time to grow. You can’t skip watering on a dry week just because it’s not fun.

This is the work we have been given. Do good, even to those who will never appreciate it. Now is the only time we have. So don’t get tired of doing good. God ensures our harvest.
