“No weapon forged against you will prevail,
Isaiah 54:17
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
and this is their vindication from me,”
declares the Lord.
“No weapon forged against thee shall prosper”; this is one of those passages better known by the KJV wording. But that snippet doesn’t do justice to the role God is taking on for his servants. For me, the more exciting part is being defended by God against all kinds of false accusations. I’m much more likely to be lied about than threatened at any given time.
This is our heritage, our right and privilege, to be defended from wrong by the Lord. If you like the feeling of vindication, you really need God on your side. He will answer every lie with the Truth.
