Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.

Deuteronomy 4:2

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

Revelation 22:18-19

Why would someone want to add to or take away from the various books of Scripture? There are very few benign reasons, and even those are unacceptable. The Scripture itself tells us that each book is complete. The value of those books together rests with their harmonious nature as a body of work. These factors combined present a clear call for those who seek God: the Bible makes a case for the exclusivity, authority and authenticity of its own constituent parts. Will we act on that in good faith?
